I feel, the best passion is the passion for learning because it didn't fail me. How to be a passionate learner? I tend to focus on what I like most, regardless how "insignificant" it is. Then, I tell myself "Dare not to lose that focus." Soon I notice within that focus the energy that inspires me further and leads to bigger goals that are better than I could imagine.
Hello, and welcome to UNIchat, the space inspired by my students. My name is Miah and I'm here to ease your academic experience.

I consider myself an energetic and driven learner: each time I come to a class, I learn from my students, hence, I see them as my equals. Of course, I have some tips to offer in return, but still I remain a learner. What makes me happy at work? To see my students becoming confident in a subject I teach.
Until now, I feel I've been blessed by amazing students and colleagues. This helps me to teach with knowledge, enthusiasm and joy for years.

I've been thriving from my academic experiences in Russia, USA, UK, and Uzbekistan.

In my BA and MA studies, I've concentrated on alternative methods of teaching of English.

In my MPhil studies in Oxford, I focused on the issues of identity formation and identity roles in Muslim communities. Recently, I've been researching towards my PhD in Education concentrating on Japan-based higher education system.

As for the US, my studies as an exchange student have helped me to choose my future academic field.
